We will live stream the Zoom sessions in the Madden Auditorium for those that wish to participate each week, beginning February 28th. You may attend the live sessions as you choose but registration is requested, so we may provide handouts or other materials.
Seed and Plant Choices: Session 2
Planning, design, and layout are key elements to successful gardening. Learn about hardiness zones, frost and freeze dates, how to order plants or seeds from a garden catalog or locally, reading and selecting seed packets, and starting plants from seed. We'll also cover soil testing and amendments, fertilizer, manures, mulch, watering, and weeding
About the Series: Growing Great Vegetables
Dig in with confidence this spring with Growing Great Vegetables, a five-week webinar series that will cover how to grow a vegetable garden from seed to harvest. Log on for a weekly online workshop covering a new topic, engage with Illinois Extension horticulture experts, and receive emails with factsheets and even more research-based tips.
Each class covers a different topic and will consist of a live 50-minute webinar presentation followed by Q&A.
DPL will only be offering the option to attend live sessions. For the option to view recorded sessions please register through the Extention office, by February 26th, 2023.
