Students 4th grade & up, would you like to have a book discussion with a friendly border collie named Lady Mary? Join Lady Mary and educator Kim Schwalbach from PUPS (People Understanding Pets) as you discuss the book A Wolf Called Wander, by Rosanne Parry.

Plot summary: A young wolf cub, separated from his pack, journeys 1000 miles across the Pacific Northwest, dealing with forest fires, hunters, highways, and hunger before finding a new home. Based on the true story of a wolf called OR-7.

The discussion will take place over three sessions, Mondays June 5, 12 & 26, 6 - 7 pm each evening.
Each participant will receive a free copy of the book to keep.

Space is limited. Advance registration required. Participants are registering to attend all four sessions.
After registration, come to the Children's Desk at the Decatur Public Library to pick up your free copy of the book and the first set of discussion questions. (The book is also available in print and audiobook on CD in our library catalog, and as an e-book or digital audiobook on hoopla.)

The program will be led by Humane Educator Kim Schwalbach from the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation.
