Do your kids love to visit Decatur's own Children's Museum of Illinois? You can get a taste of the Children's Museum this summer at the Decatur Public Library!

Come explore their Mobile Museum, which will be set up in our Children's Auditorium on selected Mondays between 9:30 a.m. and 12 noon. Come any time during that period to try out hands-on educational displays and activities. Each Monday will feature different activities with a different theme. Activities will be geared to kids ages 2 to 10, but all are welcome.

Free, and no registration required.

  • Monday, June 12, 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon

For the June 12 program, the Mobile Museum will include Blue Blocks and a brand new exhibit called Pipe Play! Both will give kids the opportunity to practice building skills, learn geometry, and build gross motor skills.

    For the June 26 program, the Mobile Museum will include Blue Blocks and giant Lincoln Logs! Both will give kids the opportunity to practice building skills, learn geometry, and build gross motor skills.

  • Monday, July 24, 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon

And don't forget to bring your littlest explorers for Tinkering Toddlers, presented by the Children's Museum of Illinois on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Children's Auditorium.
