Homeschooling: Getting it All Done

Homeschooling stressing you out? Are you lost on how to even get started or struggling to both homeschool and get everything else done? You are not alone! Join us for an "out of the box" conversation about how others manage to Get it ALL Done using the 7 habits of highly effective homeschoolers!

The workshop is free and will be presented online via Zoom. Advance registration is required so registrants can be emailed the Zoom link in advance. The presentation portion of the workshop will be recorded, and available for view afterwards via the library's website. The question & answer portion at the end will not be recorded.

Presenter: Kathy Wentz

Kathy Wentz is a former secondary education teacher who chose to teach her own children at home. She homeschooled her own from birth to college and along the way discovered that homeschooling wasn’t as much about schooling-at-home as it was about a more authentic family life.

As a member of Illinois HOUSE she became an expert in Illinois homeschooling. She also spearheaded the effort to create the first fully stocked Homeschool Resource Center within a public library in the United States, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. As owner of Wentz Educational Services, she does public speaking, tutors students, and provides counseling to parents regarding Illinois education law, learning differences and difficulties, and the best curriculum options for their child(ren).
