This diet is scientifically proven to benefit health and reverse disease, and it can greatly improve the lives of people suffering from heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, and other ailments. Our organization, Positively Plant-Based for Life, will present a free, one-hour, slide-show presentation to any group in Macon County interested in learning about this powerful and life-enriching diet. We will conclude with a question and answer period after the presentation and provide some helpful handouts.

Presenters

  • Barb Noon: Plant-based educator; publisher of a newsletter about local vegan events and vegan news from around the world.
  • Mel Weinstein: Retired analytical chemist and former chemistry educator; certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from the eCornell Center for Nutrition Studies; creator of the Food Labels Revealed podcast which exposes issues associated with the consumption of highly processed foods.
  • Julie Rotz: Fitness advocate who overcame a life-threatening illness using the diet; certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from the eCornell Center for Nutrition Studies; avid cook of delicious plant-based meals.
