Mobile Museum from the Children's Museum of Illinois

Come explore hands-on exhibits from the Children's Museum of Illinois.

Do your kids love to visit Decatur's own Children's Museum of Illinois? You can get a taste of the Children's Museum this summer at the Decatur Public Library!

Come explore their Mobile Museum, which will be set up in our Children's Auditorium on selected Mondays between 9:30 a.m. and 12 noon. Come any time during that period to try out hands-on educational displays and activities. Each Monday will feature different activities with a different theme. Activities will be geared to kids ages 2 to 10, but all are welcome.

Free, and no registration required.

  • Monday, June 12, 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon

For the June 12 program, the Mobile Museum will include Blue Blocks and a brand new exhibit called Pipe Play! Both will give kids the opportunity to practice building skills, learn geometry, and build gross motor skills.
